From Observation to Expression
The IB Visual Arts course at EMIS encourages students to explore a wide range of materials and techniques, from drawing and painting to sculpture, photography, and digital art, as they learn to express their individual ideas and emotions. Alongside weekly lessons, creative workshops, and visits to galleries and museums throughout the year, students are constantly challenged to experiment, reflect, and develop their own artistic voice.

One of the highlights of the course is our live model drawing session, a unique and inspiring evening where students draw a model from direct observation. This past Wednesday, visual arts students from all grade levels came together to take part in the session, and the studio was filled with focus, curiosity, and a genuine burst of creativity. Moments like these remind us why we believe so deeply in the power of art.
