Pre-DP (10th grade)

English is offered at three levels: high level, standard level, and basic level. Students take placement tests at the beginning of the year to join the appropriate class.

Covers concepts from biology and chemistry such as cell and atom theory, human physiology, genetics, chemical bonding, reactions, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and environmental science. Examines the relationship between the environment, the human body, and society. Offered at two levels (HL and SL) with placement tests at the start of the year.

Taught collaboratively by four science teachers, exploring how different scientific disciplines complement one another to foster deeper understanding.

Introduces students to the languages and cultures of Israel, helping them better understand the environment they are joining.

Covers core physics concepts including kinematics, electricity, Newton’s laws, momentum, and energy. Students engage in data tracking, analysis, and problem-solving involving speed, velocity, acceleration, work, and power. Practical experiments, such as measuring gravitational acceleration using pendulums, deepen understanding. Additional topics include atomic theory, isotopes, thermal properties of materials, energy concepts, and gas laws.

An interdisciplinary course for students with any science background. Explores the connections between environmental systems and societies, examines local and global environmental issues, develops understanding of scientific methods, and assesses scientific, ethical, and socio-political dimensions of sustainability challenges.

Introduces core economic principles and their application to real-world issues. Using case studies such as fast food, fast fashion, and fisheries, students investigate how market failures occur and explore key concepts including sustainability and government intervention.

Builds entrepreneurial thinking and explores business fundamentals such as market opportunities, customer needs, finance, and leadership. Students develop practical problem-solving skills and create innovative solutions through hands-on projects, brainstorming workshops, and case studies.

Explores global human rights issues such as freedom, equality, and justice through international cinema. Each film screening is followed by discussions and activities that encourage critical thinking, empathy, and deeper understanding of global challenges.

For students who wish to develop artistic skills and creativity in preparation for the IB Visual Arts course. Provides hands-on experience with a range of media and techniques, exposure to artists and art movements, and at least one art-focused field trip each semester. Students explore creative expression, curating, and contemporary art practices.

Real-world exploration of the school’s mission and values through community projects, reflection, and dialogue.
