CAS
Creativity, Activity, Service
CAS – Creativity, Activity, Service – is part of the Core IB curriculum. It is designed to enhance students’ personal and interpersonal development by learning through experience. Meaningful CAS experiences not only develop personal skills and competencies but can also contribute to communities, both local and global. CAS is an individual-based program where each student chooses their own activities and projects according to their interests, aspirations, and preferences.
CAS at EMIS: Learning by Doing
At EMIS, CAS offers students a wide range of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and engage meaningfully with the world around them. Students may choose from existing CAS initiatives or create their own projects, including continuing personal passions and activities they are already involved in, whether in creativity, physical activity, or service. CAS encourages experiential learning by connecting academic knowledge with real action, supporting student well-being, and fostering responsibility, collaboration, and reflection. Through diverse experiences and a sustained CAS project that integrates multiple areas, students grow as balanced, open-minded, and engaged individuals, prepared to navigate an interconnected world and contribute positively to their communities, both locally and globally.
